Warm weather continues with possible showers during Cinco de Mayo weekend in Metro Detroit

Saturday, Sunday highs in lower 70s

Saturday will begin dry with sunshine, but the dry conditions will be short-lived in Metro Detroit. Showers will begin to develop in the evening and nighttime hours. A few isolated showers may linger into early Sunday. Temperatures will peak in the mid 70s in Metro Detroit on both days. (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – Slow-moving showers will dissipate on Friday night and leave the area with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, but the rain will make more appearances over the weekend. Friday night’s lows will fall to the mid-50s. Northeasterly winds will be 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday

Saturday will begin dry with sunshine, but the dry conditions will be short-lived in Metro Detroit. Showers will begin to develop in the evening and nighttime hours. We will have a mix of sunshine and clouds with highs in the mid-70s. Winds will be out of the northeast early and mainly out of the east later at 5 to 10 mph.

It will be mostly cloudy, with a chance of rain showers increasing Saturday evening. Scattered showers will also be possible overnight. Lows will be in the upper 50s to 60s.

Sunday

Do you plan to head to early services on Sunday? A couple of showers will linger into the early morning hours. Are you going to the afternoon or evening Cinco de Mayo celebrations? Skies will range from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in the afternoon. An isolated pop-up shower is possible. Highs will be in the mid-70s. Lows will fall to around 50 degrees.

Next week

Monday, it will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s to 70 degrees. Lows will fall to the lower 50s.

Warmer air and more moisture will move into Southeast Michigan, causing a few showers throughout the week. Temperatures will gradually warm to around 80 degrees on Wednesday, but a cold front will bring cooler air on Thursday.
