Dearborn police arrest 25-year-old involved in shooting near Fairlane Town Center

Canton resident suffered non-life-threatening injuries

The Dearborn Police Department has arrested a 25-year-old for their alleged involvement in a non-fatal shooting in the parking lot of the Fairlane Town Center.

DEARBORN, Mich. – The Dearborn Police Department has arrested a 25-year-old for their alleged involvement in a non-fatal shooting in the parking lot of the Fairlane Town Center.

The shooting occurred on Tuesday (May 14) around 12 a.m. when officers responded to multiple gunshots.

Officials said when they arrived at the scene, they located numerous spent bullet casings while also speaking with several eyewitnesses.

The alleged shooter, who is a Westland native, was arrested within 11 hours of the incident.

A 25-year-old Canton resident was the victim who suffered the non-life-threatening gunshot wound and received treatment at a Metro Detroit hospital.
