Macomb County man accused of abducting woman at gun point, sexual assault

Police believe there may be more victims

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A Macomb County man has been arrested and charged after reportedly abducting and sexually assaulting a woman.

According to authorities, the woman told police Sunday, April 28, that she had been abducted in Detroit at gunpoint and driven to a home on 13 Mile Road in Fraser, where she was sexually assaulted.

Police said they saw a man leaving the home who matched the description of the suspect and took him into custody. A gun matching the firearm the victim described and other evidence of the assault was reportedly found when a search warrant was executed at the home.

Mario Davis, 39, was arraigned on three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and three counts of felony firearm. He was issued a $500,000 cash/surety bond.

Police believe there could be more sexual assaults linked to Davis and are urging people to come forward.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Sgt. Ben Hoppe, with the Fraser Department of Public Safety, at 586-293-2000 ext. 218.
