Mother’s Day weekend to start out with rain, end with beautiful weather

Highs forecasted around 70 degrees on Mother’s Day

4Warn Weather – Bye bye rain . . . for now. Trade the umbrellas for sunglasses today. We’ll be waking up to morning sunshine and then clouds move in this afternoon.

Milder today as highs top out in the low to mid 60s. Showers move in tonight after midnight. A rumble of thunder is also possible.

Sunrise is at 6:17 a.m. and sunset is at 8:43 p.m.

That means we will have a soggy start to Saturday. Showers are likely in the morning before becoming scattered into the afternoon. Highs will be about 10 degrees below average as we top out on either side of 60.

Mother Nature will gift all the moms beautiful weather on Sunday. Partly to mostly sunny and warmer for Mother’s Day with forecasted highs around 70!

Back into the 70s for most of next week. Showers are looking likely on Monday with a chance for a few showers lingering into Tuesday. Nationally, severe thunderstorms will be possible in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast today.

Above average temperatures will spread across the West and north-central U.S. this weekend.
