LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan Lottery players are missing out on more than $1.6 million in lottery winnings with 11 top prizes waiting to be claimed, Michigan Lottery officials announced Tuesday.

The prizes are all $150,000 winning Big Game tickets from various drawings.

"If you think you may have purchased a Big Game ticket at one of these retailers, I strongly urge you to look through any old Lottery tickets you may have," Michigan Lottery Commissioner Don Gilmer said. "It would be a huge shame to see these prizes go unclaimed."

If Michigan Lottery prizes are not claimed within the one-year period, they reportedly revert to the state School Aid Fund. In the case of a Big Game prize, in which all Big Game states have contributed to funding the prize, Michigan's allocated share of the prize money will be transferred to the School Aid Fund, according to the Michigan State Lottery.
